Our country is the quarter of the world in biological species: One on each ten species of flora and fauna that live in the planet lives in Mexico, and almost half of these is exclusive of our country.

Having more than 4 000 species of vertebrates: 1 738 of marine fish, 961 of birds, 693 of reptiles, 439 of mammals and 285 of amphibians.
