Plants Also Mexico is one of the eight called "Centers of Origin of Vavilov", from where the main species of plants come on which the humanity feeds itself. There are at least 30.000 species of plants, of which 4.000 have medicinal properties. One on each ten species of flora and fauna that live in the planet lives in Mexico, and half of these is almost exclusive of our country; being this one the quarter of the world in biological diversity.
